Hi, I am Dustin Peterson. Soon to be one day Marquez. I have lived in Bakersfield all my life. I graduated proudly from Highland High School and soon after attended Bakersfield College with an AA degree in American Sign Language. I currently work as an American Sign Language interpreter. I became involved with Bakersfield LGBTQ in July 2009, and soon after that became a Junior Board Member until I became Director of Education. I am also the leader of Bakersfield LGBTQ men's groups, Men OUTspoken; which has become more active since December 2009 after taking a short break. My partner Steven and I are currently raising cats, Lucky Lady and Brodie Lei. Also, along with many fish. Bakersfield LGBTQ has been a great addition to my life. I look forward to meeting new people in the community and one day having a Bakersfield LGBTQ center.
