The First Congregational Church is part of the United Church of Christ, meets on Sunday mornings at 10am in the main hall. You can find out more at 661-327-1609. Rev. Dave Stabenfeldt is the pastor.

Grace Episcopal Church was formed by members of the Episcopal Diocese who did NOT wish to break away from the mother church when it moved toward acceptance of gay members & clergy. They are currently meeting at First Congregational Church (see info above), with Rev. Tim Vivian, Pastor. Their services are at 10am on Sundays in the chapel.

Center for Spiritual Living, meets at 222 Eureka, in Bakersfield, between 17th & Truxtun off Union. Many members of our community attend there, and lead A Course In Miracles classes. 661-323-3109

Temple Beth El, (Rabbi Cheryl Rosenstein) is welcoming of Jewish Gays and Lesbians. 2905 Loma Linda, behind Garces High School off Columbus Avenue. Services are Fridays at 7:30 PM; 10 AM on the third Saturday of each month, and 6PM on the Friday preceding each Saturday AM service (either the 2nd or 3rd Friday, depending on the calendar).
